When you purchase a Fellhof product, you can expect a durable, natural product of the very highest quality and you should therefore know a little bit about it. |

The species-appropriate life of our sheep |
Sheep, unlike other animals on fur farms, are not just kept for their covetable fur. They live in flocks, free to roam around spacious pastures, and are carefully shorn once a year. The wool they produce is then used to knit warm sweaters, socks or hats. And when the animals are eventually slaughtered their skins become a natural by-product. |
Perfect natural heating & air conditioning
Lamb and sheepskins possess a fascinating attribute, which in its perfection has not yet been equalled by any of the modern synthetic materials: the ability to adjust to external temperatures at any time of year in summer it cools and in winter it warms you and when its time to go to bed it creates a cosy sleeping climate.

Low-maintenance due to its self-cleaning properties
Lanoline is the wool fat contained in sheepskin and because of its skin-friendly properties it is often used in baby care products. It is also the main agent that is responsible for the self-cleaning function of finished sheepskin products, making washing only necessary when the sheepskin becomes extremely dirty or badly stained. With the help of a special Fellhof washing agents sheepskin products can be washed at 30° without any problems. |

Certified Fellhof Quality - control guarantee |
No Fellhof product leaves the Fellhof headquarters without having undergone a variety of inspections and controls. These apply to the origins of the sheepskin and for the workmanship of the products. Should a product prove to be faulty or imperfect in anyway it is immediately removed as inadequate. |
Our fine, woolly sheepskin breathes and deflects heat and moisture to keep you dry and to maintain body temperature both inside and out.
At low temperatures, even as cold as -34,4° C the soft wool fibres act as a natural insulation and create a warm and cosy feeling of wellbeing. When temperatures rise, even at +26,6° C, the smooth fibres act as a natural air conditioner ensuring a cooling and comfortable feeling.

The unique properties of lambskin:

With contact cycles of 90 seconds between the human body and this natural material, wool is able to keep your skin temperature at a constant 0,5° C cooler than polyester. |
When the saturation point has almost been reached, wool absorbs double the amount of vapour as cotton and three times more than polyester. |
a) Warmth retention: The air in the fibres of sheeps wool acts as a natural insulator that retains warmth.
b) Absorbs humidity and deflects moisture: even when sheeps wool has already absorbed humidity equal to 35% of its own weight, it is still water resistant due to its natural properties.
c) Elasticity of the wool: the protein molecules, of which the fibres are composed, are stretchable and flexible. This in turn ensures that the wool remains dense.
d) Easy to look after and keep clean. | | |
